Today's flowers

We visited Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney last Thursday. That was our second visit since 2006. We spent few hours there exploring the area. It is a vast place and we were not able to explore the entire area. One of the featured gardens there that we visited was the herb garden where I saw these beautiful flowers. These are called African Marigold. I used to have these flowers in my front garden few years ago.

The marigolds are so beautiful. That's interesting that you were visiting a Botanical Garden in Sydney on the same day I was visiting a botanical garden on the other side of the world in NC, US. Small world in so many ways.

I love the shadows on that first marigold flower! I am going to have to get some for my garden this year, as I miss having them!

I think that I also probably planted it before. The weather must start getting cold now for you.

Pretty marigolds, aren't they.

We used to have yellow and gold ones too in our front yard. They don't really last long with the summer heat here in Queensland.
