Jamberoo Action Park (part 2)

And here is my next post about Jamberoo. While I was on the chair lift, I took advantage of the opportunity to take as many photos as I could of the stunning views around. However, I posted only 7 photos here which I think are the best to share with you to minimize my image usage. Some photos are not in good quality too.

Jamberoo Action Park (part 1)

Sometime last December of last year, we went to Jamberoo Action Park, NSW. It is the largest theme park based in Jamberoo near Kiama about 2 hours from Sydney on Illawarra South Coast. It was our first time to visit this place and the kids were so excited when I announced the news to them after we made a booking.
One of its attractions is the Outback Bay. It is a 2.5 megalitre wave pool that is just like the beach. Or if you dont feel like to go to the water you can just relax on the sand or in the deck chairs.

The Rock is a 5 meter high launching pad into the deep water. That's Dorothy having a go. This is a big " no, no " to those you cannot swim confidently in deep water.

These are the chair lift rides. I decided to made a quick trip on one of this alone without hubby and the kids for they were busy in one of the water rides. The views were magnificent. More photos of the views on my next post. Please check it out.

The above are just some of the attractions. We were all had a great time even though we were not able to get to enjoy all the attractions but I promised the kids that hopefully sometime this year, we can get a chance.The kids favourite is the Outback Bay. If you are following my blog, you might remember that I posted a short video of David enjoying the waves sometime last December 2011.

At Manly beach

Just want to share with you photos that I captured when visited Manly beach today. It was our first trip to the beach in Spring. The kids had a great time playing in the sand and swimming in the water. Hubby wasn't with us because he was working overtime.

Our visit to Luna Park

Last school holiday, about 3 weeks ago, I took the kids to Luna Park, Sydney (originally Luna Park Milsons Point, also known as Sydney's Luna Park. It is an amusement park located at Milsons, Point, on the northern shore of Sydney Harbour. Since it was Sunday, we availed the family fun day ticket and took a train to get in there. Hubby wasn't with us because he was working overtime on that day. When we got in there, I bought unlimited rides passes for the three of us.

Today

After our lunch today we decided to take a walk around William Lawson Park (Constructed Wetland), about 15 minutes drive from where we live. It was our second visit to this place. Dorothy wasn't able to be with us because she was invited to watch a movie with her friends before lunch and by the time we made a decision she was still at the movie, so it was only hubby, David and me. Since I had my pocket size camera with me, I took the opportunity to capture some photos of the place.
I love the stillness of the water and the reflections its creates.

At the reserve

In the past weekends, we were thinking to visit the reserve close to where we live to go for a stroll and feed the ducks, but due to unexpected commitments and the weather, we continually postponed our plan. But the other weekend, we finally grabbed a chance to visit there. A friend of my daughter came also with us.The girls took a walk around the reserve.While David was on his bike following them.

We fed the ducks and ducklings in the big pond but only a few came by. We saw some ducks were resting on the grass near the pond and some were under the shade of the trees. But an unexpected creature just suddenly appeared from nowhere trying his best to grab pieces of bread that we were throwing. It was a big eel and the kids were having fun feeding him too. We don't see eel in the pond very often. I remember it was such a long time since the last time we saw an eel there. Can you see it?
Then, a duck suddenly came out from the water. He was so friendly that even when the kids started to gather around him to give him a pat, he didn't run or fly away, but he just made quacking noise instead.

At the tulip festival

I am sharing with you some photos that I took when we visited Bowral Tulip Festival last month. Every Spring we don't miss to visit this annual event in Southern Highlands , NSW, about an hour drive from where we live. The Tulip Festival was held at Corbett Garden which features planting of up to 100,000 tulip bulbs. It was raining when we started our trip and cold but it didn't stop our plan.
Dorothy wasn't in the mood for picture taking. That's why you can't see her in any of the photos.

Ruby Tuesday

These were taken a few years ago in All Aboard Braemar Model Railway which is the home of Fleischmann and LGB in Australia in the Southern Highland of NSW. We dropped by there after visiting a friend to see their model railway displays. They have a very nice outdoor and indoor garden railway display which was one of our favourites. Since hubby and David are both train enthusiasts, they were so excited of the visit. After our refreshments at their Cafe, David spent time playing with the toys provided in the playroom.And the photo below was taken outside the shop near the picnic area. My daughter was watching a duck swimming in the creek.
