Camera Critters

This was taken after we had a heavy rain one night and the following morning I went out to the backyard to hang clothes in the clothes line. I saw this black and yellow insect flying around and suddenly landed on the banana leaf.

I asked hubby the name of this insect and he said that this is some kind of wasp.

This morning

When I woke up this morning, hubby told me that I was snoring in my sleep when he arrived from work, lol. I hope it wasn't loud.He came home very late last night because his work starts at 3:00 pm and finishes after 1:00 am. I didn't even noticed when he arrived. I was deep in my sleep after having a sleep problem for the past few nights. I woke up feeling refreshed and full of energy. Thank God for this, I am so alive.

Last Tuesday

After I took David off to his school, I went to the city to apply for the renewal of my passport in the Philippine Consulate. I arrived there before 11:00 in the morning and glad that there were not so many people waiting in the queue. I was entertained by the receptionist right away. I filled up a form there and did all the necessary requirements as well. The processing fee now is twice the amount last time. After I finished everything there, I rang hubby who was at home because he took a day off, and let him know that I have finished my passport application in the Philippine Consulate and I will proceed to St Marys Cathedral for a visit. While I was there I took a photo of Mary MacKillop Statue to share with you. This is the first time I have noticed the statue because the last time we visited there, we were at the main entrance of the cathedral, so we were not able to see the statue, which was located at the side facing the Hyde Park. Mary MacKillop is the first Australian saint who was born in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

4th place

It was Dorothy's Regional Swimming Carnival yesterday held in Homebush International Aquatic Centre. She raced in the 100m breaststroke and came 4th place. Well done, Dorothy! So proud of you.

Last Friday

Since I didn't have work last Friday, I went to Immigration Office to process something for the renewal of my passport. My passport had expired last 2008 and I need a new one. We are planning to visit to the Philippines sometimes this year for just about 3 weeks, I think. We haven't decided the exact date yet. Hubby and the kids's passports need to be renewed too and we are planning to start the processing for their new passports next week.

Glad

It was about 4 hrs or so that we didn't have internet connection somehow yesterday. The modem was just blinking trying to establish a connection but to no avail. Since hubby was at work, I rang the internet provider company and informed them the problem.They promised to check it out as soon as possible. And before I went to school to pick up David, I checked it again and glad the connection was back.

Tennis tournament

I just booked Dorothy to participate in a tennis tournament this coming Sunday which will be held in a suburb about 20 minutes drive from where we live. This is her first tennis tournament since she started her tennis lesson 3 years ago and she is so excited. She is in a tennis competition this term and I think it will help her to be more confident in the tournament. Some of her friends in the comp will be participating also. Good luck!

Photo day

Ooppss! I forgot that Dorothy's photo day will be tomorrow. I am busy these days and there are many things in my mind and couldn't remember her photo day. I misplaced the note from the school too. Good thing that the school sent me a text message as a reminder to parents to settle the payment on the day of the photo will be taken. Anyway, we've already chosen what photo package were going to buy from the sample shown on the order slip and all I have to do is to fill up the form and make sure to enclose the correct money inside the envelop as there will be no change given.

Someone has been eating this one and couldn't find who is the one responsible.

Anniversary

It was 14 years last Saturday when we said " I do". Time flies so quickly, I can't believe we've gone this far. It's time to look back at the precious memories that we shared and a time to look ahead to live our dreams together. We have our ups and downs but here we are still going strong and still so in love. Every year has always been a wonderful year of our marriage life . Thank you God for putting us together and all the blessings You have given us.

In my previous post, I blog about my daughter who came second place in the breaststroke during the Mt D Zone Swimming Carnival last week and this week, we received a note from the school that she is being selected to represent Mt D zone in the 100m breaststroke this coming Sydney West Swimming Carnival which will be held at Homebush International Aquatic Centre. It will be her first time being in the Regional and she is so excited. We are so proud of her. Good luck to her and to the rest of the Mt D Zone Swimming team.

Hawaiian disco

David's school P and C Association is again hosting a school disco sometime this week and David is looking forward to this big night. I haven't purchased a ticket yet but I will make it sure I can buy it before the day comes. The ticket includes a sausage sizzle and unlimited drink. I am sure many kids will attend as this is only happen once in every year. The theme is a Hawaiian disco. I still have to look for David's outfit sometime this week.

Nepean River

After we visited Warragamba Dam we headed off to Nepean River . Due to the overspilling of the Warragamba Dam, Nepean river swells.
