My niece

Meet my niece, Maddie. I think some of you might remember her as I sometimes blog about her. She is nearly 6 years old now and goes to a Catholic School. She is now in Kinde. She loves drawing and singing and told us that she is making a lot of friends in her school. We don't see her very often and miss her and her dad and mum. Maybe one weekend we can pay a visit to there place again.

My David's b-day

It was his 9th b-day last month. Unlike his previous b-days, we decided not to give him a birthday party because last year he had a big birthday party attended by most of  his close friends from his school.
On his birthday we went out and bought him some presents that he liked. Then we watched a movie. I bought him a b-day cake and something  for lunch too. His Auntie and Uncle, and cousin, Maddie came by to join us on his simple b-day celebration.

While we were at the mall, there was a face painting for free and since he loves face painting, he asked if he can have it, of course I can't say no to my little boy, it is his birthday after all. It is not Halloween yet, but he chose a skeleton face paint..hehehe

For Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday is always a busy day for us, but lots of fun and great food. It is our Easter tradition that we have a get together with hubby's family as well as mine in our place to celebrate the special occasion with us. Being the host of the occasion, we always prepare delicious food for lunch and give chocolates bunnies and eggs to the kids. This is the part of the celebration that the kids love most. That's why every Easter, I don't miss the chocolates eggs and bunnies. I always organise Easter egg hunt too, and with the help of the big ones, it is always fun.

Since Easter egg hunt is not complete without Easter egg basket, I made one myself. It is just so simple. I hope next Easter I would be able to make a better one than this..hehehe.

Jamberoo Action Park (part 2)

And here is my next post about Jamberoo. While I was on the chair lift, I took advantage of the opportunity to take as many photos as I could of the stunning views around. However, I posted only 7 photos here which I think are the best to share with you to minimize my image usage. Some photos are not in good quality too.

Jamberoo Action Park (part 1)

Sometime last December of last year, we went to Jamberoo Action Park, NSW. It is the largest theme park based in Jamberoo near Kiama about 2 hours from Sydney on Illawarra South Coast. It was our first time to visit this place and the kids were so excited when I announced the news to them after we made a booking.
One of its attractions is the Outback Bay. It is a 2.5 megalitre wave pool that is just like the beach. Or if you dont feel like to go to the water you can just relax on the sand or in the deck chairs.

The Rock is a 5 meter high launching pad into the deep water. That's Dorothy having a go. This is a big " no, no " to those you cannot swim confidently in deep water.

These are the chair lift rides. I decided to made a quick trip on one of this alone without hubby and the kids for they were busy in one of the water rides. The views were magnificent. More photos of the views on my next post. Please check it out.

The above are just some of the attractions. We were all had a great time even though we were not able to get to enjoy all the attractions but I promised the kids that hopefully sometime this year, we can get a chance.The kids favourite is the Outback Bay. If you are following my blog, you might remember that I posted a short video of David enjoying the waves sometime last December 2011.

At Manly beach

Just want to share with you photos that I captured when visited Manly beach today. It was our first trip to the beach in Spring. The kids had a great time playing in the sand and swimming in the water. Hubby wasn't with us because he was working overtime.

Our visit to Luna Park

Last school holiday, about 3 weeks ago, I took the kids to Luna Park, Sydney (originally Luna Park Milsons Point, also known as Sydney's Luna Park. It is an amusement park located at Milsons, Point, on the northern shore of Sydney Harbour. Since it was Sunday, we availed the family fun day ticket and took a train to get in there. Hubby wasn't with us because he was working overtime on that day. When we got in there, I bought unlimited rides passes for the three of us.

Today

After our lunch today we decided to take a walk around William Lawson Park (Constructed Wetland), about 15 minutes drive from where we live. It was our second visit to this place. Dorothy wasn't able to be with us because she was invited to watch a movie with her friends before lunch and by the time we made a decision she was still at the movie, so it was only hubby, David and me. Since I had my pocket size camera with me, I took the opportunity to capture some photos of the place.
I love the stillness of the water and the reflections its creates.

In my sister's backyard

After our lunch the other Sunday at the restaurant in the local club at my sister's place, we headed to my sister's house because the kids really wanted to spend time and play with their little cousin, Madie and of course, we wanted to spend time with my sister and her husband catching each other as well. Even if from time to time we talk over the phone but seeing and spending time with them personally is really a great feeling.
While the kids were playing at the backyard, I grabbed a chance to take some photos of them. I was glad Dorothy was in the mood for picture taking because sometimes she doesn't feel like it, shy or something, I really don't know.

Last Sunday

This was last Sunday right after David's Taekwondo grading session. We went to the restaurant at the local club with my sister, her husband and daughter to have lunch. It wasn't our first time in the restaurant. In fact, we celebrated my sister's birthday last year there. We all love the delicious foods, the staff were all nice and friendly. I took only a few photos because I was busy indulging on the delicious foods.Just some of the foods that we ordered.
