Wet weekend

It has been raining and cold since yesterday and today. This kind of weather makes me feel lazy and just wanted to stay at home doing nothing. I even feel lazy to go out even if I need something to get from the shop, it can wait until tomorrow anyway.At around 10:00am, I couldn't help but snuggled up with a warm blanket in the lounge room for a nap. When I woke up from my nap, I thought it was already night time..hehehe.. but when I checked out the time, I realised and glad it was not quite midday yet and I still had enough time to prepare for our lunch.

Camera Critters

My camera critters post this Saturday is a garden spider that I saw on my pink rose the other day. I am not sure what kind of garden spider is this. I tried to do some research but couldn't find the answer.

Last Sunday

This was last Sunday right after David's Taekwondo grading session. We went to the restaurant at the local club with my sister, her husband and daughter to have lunch. It wasn't our first time in the restaurant. In fact, we celebrated my sister's birthday last year there. We all love the delicious foods, the staff were all nice and friendly. I took only a few photos because I was busy indulging on the delicious foods.Just some of the foods that we ordered.

Annual Award Presentation

We were surprised by Dorothy when she came home from school last Friday bringing an invitation for her to attend the MDSSA Annual Presentation. This is her first time and she is so happy that she will be one to be awarded. Her award is being the 3rd place in 13 Girls Cross Country. We are so proud of her. Of course parents are being invited too but I am not sure if I would be able to because of my work. There will be light refreshments provided and booking is essential before the day.

Last night

At about 9:00 pm while I was in the computer browsing, Dorothy suddenly called me and informed me that David had a nose bleeding. I hurriedly went out from our computer room to where they were and saw that it was really bad. David was crying and I tried to calm him down, and told Dorothy to get a towel and plenty of ice while I busied myself to ring the Emergency medical advice assistance. I was answered by a registered nurse and told me what to do to stop the bleeding naturally. After a few moments, I was so relieved that the bleeding had stopped. Dorothy told me that David was picking his nose while watching the movie which we rented for the night. I am becoming worried now since that was the second time this year that he had a nose bleeding.

Backyard visitor

This was last Sunday late in the morning. I spotted a good size blue tongue lizard in the backyard. The moment I saw it, I let Dorothy secured our cat inside the house because I was afraid she will attack or frighten the lizard. We are so lucky to see a few blue tongue lizards sunning in the backyard. They are a great help in my garden by eating the snails, slugs and even caterpillars.I am sharing this post with Camera Critters, please click, here to see more critter photos.

Taekwondo grading session

Tomorrow is David's Taekwondo term 3 grading for Blue belt (2 stripes). It will be held in the normal venue, unlike last term that it was held in another venue for the first time. David has been practising the techniques and I hope he will be alright tomorrow. He is getting excited too as well as Dorothy for after the grading session, we are going to have lunch with my sister and her family in a restaurant at their place.

Pizza for dinner

One Sunday of last month, we decided to have pizza for dinner and went out to our favourite pizza place, Maggie's Homemade Pizza. It is not always that we have pizza and we were particularly excited. The owners, husband and wife run the popular eatery for nine years. The ingredients are fresh and they make the dough themselves.

Sick

I was sick with cold and my body ache, so I wasn't able to go to work yesterday . After taking medication, I started to feel much better and decided to go back to work today even if I still have a stuffy nose but not really bad any more. I got the cold from the David. First, it was Dorothy who got it, then David and this time, it's me. I just hope hubby wont get it.

David

I am sharing with you a short video clip that I took during David's Athletic Carnival. I was glad I was able to get one even though the weather didn't cooperate. This was during David's second race.Even if this is not a good quality but I still like to share it with you. David is the first from the right side wearing a green top.

David's new bag

When I came to David's school to pick him up, his teacher told me that David was crying because the zipper of his favourite bag was broken. His teacher had his bag and was standing at the door when I arrived while David was still inside the classroom. When David saw me, he came to me and told what had happen that the zipper just broke when he tried to zip it on . He was using his bag since he was in yr 1 and wasn't actually in good condition any more, but he still loved and proud to use it even though there were tiny holes already at the bottom of the bag. I tried to fix the zipper when we got home but I wasn't able to. It was just getting worst. So I bought him a new one.
