I have here four photos for my Today's flowers post. The first two photos were taken in my front garden. These are my pink hydrangea.

 The photos below were taken yesterday during our visit to my friend's place. She has these blue  and pink hydrangeas and this time they are in full bloom.

Green planthopper

My first time to snap a citrus planthopper. I sometimes see one or two of them on my "kalamansi" plant . They are tiny that I always find it hard to take photos with the camera I have even though they let me get pretty close.  But this one really captured my attention because of the pink markings around its wing.

Award

I know this is too late to post but I will post this, anyway. Last November my daughter, Dorothy received an award for the first time since she joined the Little Athletics sometime last  September of this year. It was really a great surprise for her and she came home with a big smile on her face.  Well done, Dorothy. You have made us proud.

 Well, I would say that this is maybe the first and the last award for her in the Little Athletics for she decided to quit and concentrate more on her tennis. Next year will be a busy year for her in the tennis since she will have a private lesson, semi squad lesson and a competition every week.

Today's Flowers

 I saw these two  sago palms in the entrance of the Chinese Garden in Darling Harbour last Sunday. Each is having different  looking flower that when I got home it made me to quickly search in the internet just to satisfy my curiousity. 

 And found out that the first photo is a female sago palm

Ruby Tuesday

 This is the Christmas tree in Dawson Mall, Mt Druitt, west of Sydney. The Christmas tree lights were turned on last November 15, 2012 which was attended by many residents. We were not able to witness it because my daughter had a tennis competition on that night.
Well, later this morning, I decided  to do some Christmas shopping with my daughter in the mall  since I didn't have work  and took the opportunity to capture photos of the Christmas tree to share with you.

Hot day

It is just the first month of our summer and we are already experiencing very warm days. Like yesterday it was very hot and humid that all the leaves of my fern tree are looking sad and in a few days the leaves will turn to brown and died. This is not the first time it happen since the start of our summer this year . There were days already  that temperature soared up to 40 degrees.  The prediction for our summer this year will be hot and dry as the El Nino phenomenon gets a grip in the central and eastern Pacific.

Today

December is one of our  special months. It is not that Christmas falls on this month but because my daughter celebrates her birthday on this month. Yes, she was born a few days before Christmas. Dorothy and my nephew were born on the same day and I hope someday they will be given a chance to celebrate it together, since my nephew lives in Perth . As usual we prepared something special for our lunch . My sister and her family  and a few of Dorothy's friends came over to celebrate her birthday with us.We all had a great time.

To my daughter: Happy Birthday. May all your dreams come true. We wish you all the happiness on this special day. We love you, Thy!
 To my nephew Marvin: Happy Birthday. Hope you have a great day!
