My Cymbidium orchids have a few buds this time and not long from now I will enjoy their beautiful flowers again. But the other day while I was checking them, I saw that one stalk of buds had been eaten one by one. It was the first time that I saw this happening and of course, I was not happy. I looked carefully searching for the one responsible and I found the culprit, a hairy caterpillar which was still feasting another stalk of buds.

I was just glad and relieved that I found it before all the buds will be eaten. I keep on checking them since then for I am afraid there will be more but thankfully, that was the only one I had found so far.

I have the same problem with lily eating bugs every spring. They are plentiful and voracious. Glad you were able to save your buds.
The naughty one :)

OH WOW, I know you do not want your orchid buds eaten. I am glad you are watching for the hungry critter now. Great capture.
Ah well, even caterpillars have to eat.
That's good u found them before they go feeding all.
