At the Medieval Fayre
This was the other weekend when we attended our first Medieval Fayre celebration, an annual event to kick off the Blacktown City festival. It was held in a Reserve close to where we live. The reserve had been transformed into a world of medieval magic. We enjoyed a free range of medieval activities, from colourful pavilions and armed combat with swords to jousting on horseback and live musicians. There were also children's craft workshops, camel rides, food stalls and dragon and amour displays. Entry was free and it was a 2 days event. Here are some of the pictures I took.

We bumped into two of the roving characters lurking within the medieval village
And finally, we met the Mayor of Blacktown City, Mayor Charles Lowles

Looks like a big festival kay ni-apil man ang mayor ninyo...
You should have told me about the Medieval Fayre -- I would have taken Phillip. lol
I've taken him a couple of times to the Renaissance Faire and his favorite part has always been the sword fighting (and the belly dancers). And he loves anything to do with dragons.
Your children always look so cooperative in your pictures. They have the sweetest faces. I've had a camera in Phillip's face since the day he was born and now he runs away ,if he can, when he sees the camera.
