Last Friday's rainbow..

This was our second time of the week to see a rainbow. We've been lucky I suppose, we saw such a beautiful sight in the sky twice in a week. The first rainbow was posted in my other blog and this time I can't afford to just let the days slip away without sharing with you one of the rainbows. It was drizzling when we spotted it. We went out having umbrella with us just to see it. David and Dorothy always feel delighted every time we see rainbow. David even stayed outside until it was completely gone.

Today's flowers

My flowers for Today's flowers post are my clivia. These are just the early blooms and there are still more to come. I notice that new buds are just coming out and some are just starting to open up. I am glad that the heavy frost last winter didn't affect them badly and still looking good and healthy.
Have a great week!

Father's Day Lunch

Part of our Father's Day celebration last Sunday was a lunch at the local club in our area with some friends. We booked a place for us a few days before the day came because special occasion like this is hard to get a place. The club is one of our favourite places when it comes to dining . It is a self serve and eat all you can. It was a late lunch and everyone enjoyed the scrumptious food specially prepared for that occasion.

Oleander butterfly

An Oleander butterfly visited my daisies one weekend afternoon. I was cleaning the garden when I spotted it flying around my daisies. Wasting no time, I hurriedly went inside to grab my camera with hope that it would stay there long enough so I can take a few snaps. When I came back from the house, my wish was granted for the butterfly was still right on the daisy when I left. It did fly and stop to other daisies but glad it didn't stay away from my camera.
I am sharing this post with Camera Critters.

Mt Banks

This was last 3 weekends ago when we were driving in the other side of the Blue Mountains. It was a sunny day when we started our trip but when we were in the Blue Mountains the weather was completely the opposite. It was stormy with gusty winds, on and off showers and quite cold. Part of the storm had also dropped some hail but glad it didn't last that long. We still drove despite of the weather condition to reach our destination and while on our way, we past this sign (below) and thought to drop by to satisfy our curiosity of the place.
The drive on a narrow and dirt road was paid off with the breathtakingly beautiful views of the mountain and its surroundings. It was really worth the drive. There was a small picnic area as what the sign says, with couple of picnic tables and chairs, but it was quiet due to the weather condition, except for the two people who were preparing theirselves for a trip to climb up to the mountain. With my interest to snap few pictures, I was the only one who decided to scramble out of the car, and after taking few snaps we drove off to our destination. I hope some day if time permits we can visit the place again and stay a bit longer to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Watery Wednesday

These were taken during our holiday in the Philippines a few years ago. Despite our busy schedule we managed to visit Bohol, the tenth largest island in the Philippines and located in the Central Visayas Region. We stayed in Bohol Beach Club for 4 days. One of the things we did while we were there, was the Loboc River Cruising, a must visit and experience activity in Bohol. There are two choices for this popular River Cruising, hire a banca (canoe) or either boarding the famous floating restaurant. We opted to hire a banca (canoe) with boatmen so it would be only us on board . The river cruise ends to these beautiful mini waterfalls called "Busay" . We stopped there for a while to take photos, video and admire the beauty of nature.

I will post more pictures of the river next WW.

Please visit Watery Wednesday for more watery sites all around the world.

At the shed...

We saw this native pigeon nesting inside our open shed. This is a normal sight every Spring time at our backyard. Aside from the shed, some pigeons opted to make their nest up in some of the trees at the backyard but there's no way I can get a good picture of it. I thought the pigeon would fly away when I slowly approached the shed and focused my camera to where she was, but glad it didn't. I just kept a good distance away from her and just zoomed in my camera to the max. I wonder how many eggs she has in the nest but I don't like to get up close to the pigeon and check it out for I might scared her to death and she would not come back there again to lay eggs.
