A few weeks ago me and hubby went to the Council Nursery to inquire something and while there we thought to take advantage of their plants give away for every residents in the area. Every year the Council gives away 2 potted seedlings ready for planting . And as a requirement to avail the opportunity, they only ask a proof of our residential address and that's done. Since we haven't claimed our share for this year, we took advantage of it while being there. It took us a while deciding which one, since there are heaps of seedling to choose from on display. And finally we had decided for these 2 plants.
Camellia:
An evergreen shrub, closely related to C. sasanqua, growing to approximately 3 m with small, bright green foliage. Abundant flowers are produced in winter to spring. ideal for screens, hedging, large containers and espaliers.

Yellow Eremophila glabra :
A small shrub with lance-shaped leaves and a profusion of yellow, tubular flowers from late winter to autumn. The foliage is a distinct fresh green that provides interest for the rest of the year. These plants attract birds to the garden. They can be used for Australian native gardens and as a colourful informal hedge.
