It was last Wednesday that Dorothy's plaster around her arm was removed. Our appointment time in the Fracture Clinic was at 1:30 pm but we were given instructions during our last visit that we should go to the Physio and then X-ray first before the appointment time. We went to the hospital after dropping off David at the school. I just asked a friend to pick up David after school because I didn't think we could finish in the Fracture Clinic before 3:00 pm.While we were waiting in the Physio, I got an unexpected call from the School that David had a severe nose bleeding, crying, so upset and was looking for me. Hubby didn't take time off from work because they are so busy this time. I rang the company where he works and left a message to the controller to let hubby know what was happening. I couldn't contact him through his mobile because he was in the field. I was so scared badly but I tried to calm down myself so I would be able to think what to do. I asked Dorothy if it would be OK with her if I go to school and pick up David and glad she was Ok with the arrangement that I was suggested. I just gave her instructions, not to go out , wait for me (because I will be very quick) and such. When I arrived in the school, the bleeding had stopped but he looked miserable. There were blood all over him from the shirt down to the shoes. I asked the lady who attended David if I can borrow spare clothing because I wanted to change David. We changed David and went back to the hospital right away. When we arrived at the hospital, David was still feeling uncomfortable but a little bit happy when he saw his big sister. After about 20 minutes, he was finally looking good and started looking at the magazines which featured different kinds of car. I was so relieved then. Dorothy too was helping me out by letting me to look after David while she attended the appointments in removing her plaster and the X-ray. I just told the attending person to tell me everything afterward because I cannot leave my son in the waiting area alone, although we were both allowed to go with Dorothy.
David's nose bleeding was caused by the hot weather. Dorothy sometimes does this too when it is hot and humid. We have been hit by scorching temperatures with hot wind since Monday (40C) , Tuesday was the hottest (42C), and yesterday was 40 C.
Dorothy's wrist is healing well but a fiberglass cast was put on her arm as recommended by the doctor for the next couple of weeks.

Eden, I am so sorry for the hard day you all had, but it sounds like it all turned out okay. Dorothy was a brave and kind big sister to be okay with you attending to David.
Sorry it's been so hot there. Hard for me to even imagine...so cold here. ha-ha

I can imagine how hard the situation. Glad to know it turned out okay.
I guess David should know how to do first to decrease the nose bleeding.
Well, I think you're a Super Mom :)
