Fractured wrist
Last Tuesday my daughter had an accident while she was playing at her friend's house. She was riding a rip stick, accidentally fell off somehow and landed on her right hand and injured her right wrist. I tried to stay calm and not to panic when they informed me over the phone, and tried to reach hubby immediately who was at work and went hurriedly to her friend's house. When I arrived, she was in pain and we took her immediately to our local hospital because her wrist started to swell. She was attended right away by the hospital staffs which I was very glad. They put a temporary plaster around her wrist, did x-ray and told us to go to another hospital the following day for an operation which they cannot do it there, and for Dorothy to fast from 12 midnight. The following day we went early to the recommended hospital in the emergency but since there were so many patients with serious condition, we had to wait a long time. Finally in the afternoon she got a place in the operating theater for her operation. It wasn't a long wait for the operation to finish and I was given a chance to see her in the recovery room after. She was crying when she saw me and asking about her Dad and David, but since there is only one allowed to visit a patient in the recovery room, me and hubby took our turn. No kids are allowed there, so David just patiently waited outside even if he was so eager to see his big sister. I was in the hospital with her until she was finally discharged before 9:00 pm on that night. Hubby took a day off from work during that day but I let him and David went home at around 4:00 pm for David was becoming so bored in the hospital.
The picture was taken on the following day after she was discharged from the hospital. She asked me not to include her face in the picture.

Please tell Dorothy that we'd rather see her pretty face than her broken wrist. It sounds like it was quite a serious injury. I hope she heals quickly and doesn't have any pain. I see that it's her right wrist. Might she be left-handed like me?
Phillip also has a rip stick, skate board, dirt bike, snowmobile, etc. All that dangerous stuff and I worry about it.
Warm hugs to Dorothy. I know you'll all take good care of her.
