Our new cordless phone

Sometime of last week, we grabbed a chance to look for a replacement of our 10 yr old cordless phone. We finally decided to replace it because we had been experiencing problem with it for quite a while. It has no dial tone at times. It was so annoying when we wanted to ring someone. However, even if it has no dial tone it still ring for incoming calls but worst of all, we could not hear the voice in the other end and our only option to get the call is to be quick to our computer room to answer the incoming call, thanks to our old corded phone which is still in good condition and still functioning well, it helped us a lot during those times. The new cordless phone is a dual-handset and we put one in our lounge room and one in the kitchen.

Ruby Tuesday

Here is my RT post. This was taken when we visited our friends, an old couple who live about an hour drive from where we live in the Southern Highland, NSW. They are raising chickens for eggs for their consumption and sometimes they sell some. The last time we visited their place, she gave me 2 trays of eggs (12doz/tray). The kids always enjoy the visit too for they can get the opportunity to feed the chickens and sometimes gather the fresh eggs.

At Springwood

Here are some photos that I took yesterday during my son's Taekwondo grading session which was held in Springwood in the lower part of the Blue Mountains. I tried to capture some photos during his performance but all ended up blurry and dark. My sister, her husband and daughter came also to the venue to see us and to watch David. We were so proud of David, he did it so well .
When it was finished we decided to go to the nearby mall to grab some coffee and something to nibble on.
And before we parted, I took another photos of the kids with their cousin, Maddie.

Camera Critters

This huge spider has been in our Macadamia tree for quite a while now. I cannot exactly remember when was the first time I saw it. There was a couple of times that I partially destroyed his web just to tell him to move away from our backyard but the next time I look at the spot to where he is , there's a new web. He is not that harmful kind though but it is good to take extra precaution all the time and I keep on reminding the kids every time they play in the backyard not to get closer to the Macadamia tree. I will have to get rid of this spider soon. If you take a closer look of the picture you will find that this spider has lost a couple of its front legs somehow.

Yesterday

It was a busy day for me. I woke up early to do 3 loads of washing and do some cleaning in the house. I supposed to do the washing on Friday night but I was feeling tired after doing our weekly grocery shopping in the afternoon and took David to his Taekwondo class late in the afternoon . Dorothy decided not to go to her tennis lesson last Saturday because she wasn't feeling good to play tennis after their Celebration Week activities which started last Tuesday until Friday. They had so much fun and that was the highlight of their first term this school year. While hubby went to work overtime at 10:00 am until late in the evening.

At 11:30 am we had an appointment with David's paediatrician. We went to the Medical Centre 30 minutes early with hope that we can get to see the paediatrician on time. But unfortunately when we arrived, we were informed by the receptionist that the paediatrician is running late and there is someone in front of us, so I decided to take the kids to the mall which is just nearby and have a look around. At least the kids wouldn't get bored while waiting for our appointment. I just told the receptionist to ring me if the person in front of us will be inside with the paediatrician and so she did. It was such a long wait because it was about 1:00 pm that we got to see the paediatrician. When we finished with our appointment , I was really starving and decided on our way home to drop by at KFC. I ordered pieces of chicken, David had chicken popcorn with chips and Dorothy just had a "chocolate krusher" only. It was about 3:30 pm when we arrived back home.

Today's Flowers

Yesterday, my kids and I took a walk to the convenience store in our suburb to get something and I took my camera with me because my daughter asked me if we could drop by at the horse agistment which is also located across the convenience store and take some photos of her petting a horse. While walking to our destination, I saw this beautiful hibiscus growing beside the foot path and I was lucky that I brought my camera with me. Thanks to my daughter for telling me to take my camera I was able to take photos of the beautiful hibiscus.
