Dentist Appointment

I took David to the dentist last Monday. That was his second dentist visit in this year. The first visit was sometime last March for check up and cleaning only, while last Monday was because of his double row teeth at the top of his mouth. The front tooth was loose while the new one is getting bigger and I wanted the old tooth to be pulled out. David has a dental fear and he always feels reluctant to visit the dentist but I explained to him that if he doesn't go to the dentist his teeth will look ugly and crooked. I finally able to convince him on that day and a few minutes after we arrived in the dental clinic we were attended by the dentist. As usual, it took a while for David to settle and sit down on the chair but after a great deal of convincing he finally did it. He was crying right from the start of the procedure and wanted to hold me. The dentist was very good for it didn't take long to pull out the tooth and I knew it hurt David a little. I hope he will over come his dentist fear for he has another dentist appointment in a few months time for another check up.

Last Friday

This was the scene that greeted us when we woke up in the morning. Because I was busy preparing the kids for school, I didn't pay much attention to it. But when me and David arrived at the school car park, it was still foggy and thought to grab the opportunity to capture some shots. I brought my pocket size camera with me because David's class had a presentation during the Friday assembly and I wanted to capture moments of it. It was between 8:33-8:38 am when these photos were captured. The footpath going to the playground.
And the school playground.

Shoulder pain

It has been weeks now that I am dealing with this shoulder pain. It is not swelling nor that I can't move it. I still can move my shoulder and do some of the household works but it pains. I have been using our local muscle pain killer liniment but it seems it doesn't getting any better. I finally decided to visit my GP last Wednesday and she did let me do some shoulder movements just to check it out which I was able to follow but some I couldn't. She recommended to have an ultrasound of my shoulder which I will be doing this coming Wednesday to get an accurate diagnose of the pain and the appropriate treatment. I can't exactly remember what I had done to have this shoulder pain. I had injured it somehow.

2nd place

Last Monday was Dorothy's Zone Athletic Carnival which was held in Blacktown Olympic Park about 5 minutes from where we live. It was raining on and off and the sky was so gloomy but it didn't stop the event to happen on that day. I rang the school first thing in the morning to inquire if the Athletic Carnival is to be cancelled because of the wet weather but I was informed that it will be on rain or shine. So after I dropped David off at his school, I took Dorothy to the venue and I stayed there to cheer for the school team. Dorothy raced in the 800m in the pouring rain and came 2nd place. It was a good run and she was so happy. We are so proud of her.

Our backyard

Our pecan tree started falling off its leaves last week and this was the look of our backyard.
The leaves covered almost our backyard.
Our cat, Pusa taking a "yellow carpet" walk ..but it seemed she was interested in something else.
My son, David wanted to have his picture taken too.
We haven't finished cleaning our backyard yet because of the rainy days. I hope we can resume it this weekend.
