Toothache
Last week, I was suffering from a toothache. It was my first time to experience that thing and it was a nightmare. I wasn't able to go sleep in some nights and didn't able to go to work either for there were times that the pain was quite strong even if I took pain reliever medicine which I bought over the counter, and on Friday I noticed the right part of my face was swelling a bit, although it wasn't that noticeable unless you take a closer look at my face but its uncomfortable. I was becoming worried sick that it would get worse. So I decided to ring our dentist and got a booking last Monday. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a Saturday booking for they were fully book at that time..hmmmp.. Anyways, I sought the help of our GP on Saturday morning regarding the swelling and she prescribed me with antibiotic and advised me to see a dentist as soon as possible. Since I started taking the antibiotic the pain subsided and gradually gone but I still got the swelling until Monday. When the dentist checked out my tooth she said that there is no need to remove the tooth for it is still looking good and we'll keep it as long as we can, and instead she gave a good clean up of my teeth and will see from there. She did an x-ray of my teeth too. The pain prabably was caused by gums problem or decay. I need to do teeth cleaning and check up once in every 3 months to help and maintain good teeth from now on.

Toothache is something horrible! But glad you got relieved.
Oh, I had an abscessed tooth once several years ago and the pain was worse than giving birth, in my opinion! I can sympathize with you on this one! I told the dentist I saw that I never wanted to experience that pain again and told him to yank the thing out....which he did. It was a molar, so it isn't noticable at all, thank God.
I hate toothache , I just can't stand the pain.:) Now, I always make sure I have my teeth clean every 3-6 months. No more toothache for me.
