Camera Critters

Here are pictures of a bird that I took few weeks ago which visited our neighbor's tree. I was at the backyard watching the kids playing one late afternoon when suddenly we heard a bird noise which was not quite familiar. We followed to where the noise came from, searched and saw this bird feasting the fruits of the tree that belongs to our next door neighbor. I don't have any clue what kind of bird is this. That was our first time to see such kind. I searched in the internet and found out nothing except that this bird has a similarity with the cuckoo bird.

It's always exciting to find a new bird, one we've not seen before...and I've not seen this one, either :)

Wow, good shots, but I've never seen anything like that before. I'm sure no expert. However, I think it has something of a hawk or falcon look to it. Did you look in that section of your bird book?

Beautiful bird! I agree with Kay about it being some sort of hawk or falcon with such a curved beak.

I hope you find out and let us know!
