We have a tree in the front yard that bears fruits annually. It is quite an attraction to parrots, crows, and some other birds when it is in season. The tree is called
loquat. It has been planted in the front yard by the previous owner of the house because when we bought the house, the tree was quite a good size already. In fact, it produced fruits during our first year of living the house. Since then, it never miss a single year to bear fruits and there are scores of them every time. We have a feast of its fruits for they are sweet and juicy when it's ripe and some friends enjoy it too.

This time of the year, the tree is quite busy with its regular uninvited guests, the
rainbow lorikeets which come very often in the mornings to have a good feed and come back in the afternoon for another feed before the sundown. This type of parrots are our favourites guests among others. We notice them most of the time if they are up in the tree for they are noisy as if they are talking with each other while having a feed which also attracts the attention of our pet cockateil, Elle. She chirps a lot when she hears them from outside, maybe she just wants to join the fun with them..lolzz. Poor dear, Ellie!

The kids are loving the parrots' presence and sometimes Dorothy would almost creep down slowly under the tree to get a closer look and tries to befriend by saying "hello, cutie". It is always quite a sight to behold for the kids especially when there are many of them up in the tree.
