David
Here are two photos that I took after David's Taekwondo grading session sometime last December 2011 which was held in the lower parts of the Blue Mountains. His grading session was for 3 stripes blue belt. He was doing really good during the individual grading and sparring, and we're so proud of him.

Turon
"Turon (Spanish: turrĂ³n),also known as Banana Lumpia, is a Philippine snack made of thinly sliced bananas (preferably Saba or Cardaba bananas) and a slice of jackfruit, dusted with brown sugar, rolled in spring roll wrapper and fried. Other fillings can also be used, including sweet potato, mango, cheddar cheese and coconut.
Turon is a popular street food among Filipinos. They can be usually seen on the streets along with banana cue, camote cue, and maruya being peddled by vendors." (wikipedia)

I saw these beautiful flowers in Jamberoo Action Park during our visit last December 3. I am not sure if these are called Chinese Lantern Flowers, so does anyone know?

New rubbish bin
The other week when I was about to take back our big rubbish bin into the backyard after the garbage truck picked up the rubbish, I noticed that it had big cracks around its body and the lid came off somehow. It was the schedule of our rubbish to be picked up early that morning and I wonder what happened to it when the garbage truck picked up the rubbish which made it cracked. It was an old bin which was already in the house since we bought it 14 yrs ago. I told hubby about it and without wasting any time he rang the council about our bin and they promised to replace it with a new one within 5 days. However after 5 days there was still no bin yet, we made a follow up and then again they promised to drop by before Sunday. I had many bags of rubbish already which I only dumped along the side of our fence for the meantime. It was a bit disappointing when Sunday came that there was still no sign of bin . There was only one option that I could think of of what to do of our rubbish, was to put a few bags into the old bin, and the rest put them inside a big rubbish bag and tied it, and placed them outside for pick up the following morning. The next morning I was happy to see that all my rubbish were all gone including the old broken bin and a new bin was placed beside the kerb waiting for me to take inside to our backyard.

Camera Critters
The sound of these birds woke me up one morning. They were noisy and loud. I saw many of them flying when I gazed through the glass window but most of them didn't stop by in the tree of our next door neighbour to feed the fruits . There were only a few of them that stopped by in the tree, and I thought to take some photos. However I only managed to take two photos because some were hidden by the leaves and I couldn't see them. These birds are called corella.

A bird
Last month, when I came back from school one afternoon after I picked up David, I went straight to the back room because I heard some strange noises that I could not distinguishing what it was. When I opened the door, I was surprised to see a bird trapped somehow inside the room. That was not the first time it happen, the first time was a few months ago. The bird looked so scared and terrified that it kept on flying around the room non-stop. I got a towel and tried to catch it, but it was so quick while David decided to open the door to the outside so the bird could see it. It just took the bird a few seconds to see the open door and the moment he saw it, he flew straight through the door. I was glad that our cat was outside when it happen.
