Internet connection problem
We had an internet connection problem that had been going on since last Friday until Tuesday. It just cut off suddenly and came back to normal after an hour or so. We can't figure out what was wrong. It was very annoying if we were in the middle of doing something in the computer . We finally decided to report our problem to our internet provider on Tuesday and within two hours someone came over to check it out and found that the problem was in our modem. We haven't decided to change our modem yet because since Tuesday morning until this time the connection is alright so far , no problem anymore. But once the problem will come back again, we will change the modem right away.

Watery Wednesday
I took these pictures last night when we attended my daughter's year 6 Farewell Party which was held in the hotel close to where we live. This water feature is near the main entrance of the hotel. My little boy who saw it first wanted to check out if there are some fishes swimming around so I took him there which gave me also an opportunity to take photos for my WW post this week. Then we found out that there were no fishes but we saw a big empty shell instead.

Happy Watery Wednesday.

Last weekend..
It wasn't an eventful weekend for us, still raining and we can't do anything outside. Dorothy's tennis lesson last Saturday was even canceled due to the wet weather but there will be a make up day this coming Sunday. But unfortunately Dorothy can't attend for we will be attending hubby's Christmas party at work on Sunday which will be held in the beach.
We just stayed at home, watched movies and played WII on the weekend. And on Sunday we decided to take the kids to McDonald to have lunch and let David play in the playground. When we arrived, I was surprised to see many people and kids that we hardly get a table. Many people thought the same for that day taking the kids to McDonald due to the wet weather because it has a nice big play area inside. The crowded playground didn't appeal much to David and decided just to sit down with us. He went to the playground when he noticed that most of the kids started going home. We let him play for while and when he came back to us and said that he had enough, we decided to head back home.

Our Christmas tree
I managed to put up our Christmas back to its spot every Christmas season sometime last week and while I was doing it I missed those little hands that always do the hanging of the ornaments on the Christmas tree, my little helpers who love to do the job without being told. Yes, they were not here when I decided to put up the Christmas tree because they were in the school. I decided to do it that way because I wanted to give them a little surprise when they come home and I was so excited to see what would be their reaction once they saw it. Well, the moment they saw the Christmas tree with the Christmas lights on, I can't tell how surprised and happy they were. David whispered to me that he loves our Christmas tree. This is our first Christmas since I arrived here (1998). We bought it few days after Dorothy was born and until this time we are still using it. It has plenty of Christmas memories already, that's why I didn't bother to buy a new one, not just yet. And besides it still looks good as new.
It is still bare underneath the tree for I haven't done our Christmas shopping yet and plan to do it early this week while the kids are in school.

Camera Critters
I thought to share with you another picture during our visit to Taronga zoo sometime last October of this year. It was my daughter who captured this picture with her own camera. She likes so much this picture because the giraffe seemed to like being photographed by her.

School event
It was Dorothy's Sport Gala Day last Thursday. She had been patiently waiting for this event and was so excited for the day to come. The event was organized by the School where she enrolled for next year, year 7, and everyone who enrolled for year 7 in that school are all invited to join. It was a great opportunity for them to get to know each other. Throughout the day the students were involved in a variety of activities including swimming, basketball, volleyball, and indoor soccer.Dorothy paid the required contribution prior to the day which covered the cost of the transportation and the pool entrance. Their class adviser accompanied them to the event too. It was a whole school day event but expected to be finished before 3:00 pm (pick up time) . When we arrived home from school after I picked Dorothy and David, Dorothy complained about achy legs, probably because of the running and swimming that she did during the day. I let her rest the whole afternoon and glad she started feeling better during the night. Despite all those aches, she told me that they had so much fun all throughout the day.

Sky Watch Friday
It has been a wet week for us and the weather forecast said that this will continue until next week. However, we enjoyed a little sunshine late this afternoon even if there was an on and off shower during the day . Last Saturday, I think I was lucky enough to have witness a beautiful sunrise before the rainy weather started to set in the next day. I am not an early riser that's why it is not that often I can check out how the sunrise looks like every morning. I woke up early on that day to do washing and while I took a glimpse outside through our glass window in the bedroom, this is what I saw.

Raining..
I was supposed to go out yesterday after dropping the kids off to school to get new ornaments for our Christmas tree and some stuff for the house. But I changed my mind not to proceed with my plan. It was too wet and still raining cats and dogs. We had this wet weather since Sunday. The ground has been soaking wet with plenty of puddles everywhere. This kind of weather makes me tired and just want to laze on the couch under a warm blanket watching a movie. But glad I did manage to do some household chores when I arrived from the school, cleaning the main toilet and the guinea pig hutch and giving them a quick bath before lazing around for a couple of hours.
