We are staying mostly inside the house today because we can't do much outside. It is too hot to do anything. I was planning to take the kids to Sydney Aquarium earlier today but hold the plan until sometime this coming week. Our aircon has been working all night and today. We are predicting up to 40 degrees C temperature today. Dorothy wanted to go out for a swim but I decided not to let her go because yesterday I noticed a few skin peeled off on her face from her previous swimming outings with friends even though she put a lot of sunscreen on all over her body and face. I told her to have a break from her swimming for a while and let her skin be back to normal again. And besides with this kind of temperature, I won't allow my kids longer exposure to the sun even if with sunscreen on.
Yesterday was a scorching hot day too but we still managed to go out and ventured to the tennis center in the Sydney Olympic Park to witness great tennis matches from players all over the world. We stayed mostly in the shade and in the main court. We were pretty exhausted when we got home but we had fun enough to call it a day.

Last Monday

As promised, I took the kids to the movie because they wanted to watch, Alvin and the Chipmunks. They were all excited and can't wait the day to come. We went to Hoyts Westpoint, Blacktown and watched the 12:30 pm time. I bought each of them popcorn to munch while watching the movie. The movie amused the kids, made them laughs and full of funny moments. It's a fantastic movie to watch. My kids haven't got the chance to watch the first movie so that was their first time getting to see the furry brothers, Alvin, Symon and Theodore.

Dorothy was sick

It is such a great relief that Dorothy is feeling fine now after being sick for 3 days due to stomach pain. Pain that is not constant but it does come and go which I believe it was some kind tummy bug/virus which is going around these days. She lost her appetite and just nibbled a plain bread or cereal but she was drinking a lot of water, which was really good for her. I kept an eye on her every now and then for she might have diarrhea, vomiting or something and glad she had none. Although there were few times, she felt like to throw up. She played with David when she was not in pain but every time the pain came, she just lay down in bed and dozed off sometimes. I was becoming worried and planned to take her to the doctor on the second day but she was hesitant to go that it was not something to worry about as she had that before. Glad she is Ok now and gets to enjoy New Year's day and our annual family gathering with hubby's family..
