Hawaiian disco
David's school P and C Association is again hosting a school disco sometime this week and David is looking forward to this big night. I haven't purchased a ticket yet but I will make it sure I can buy it before the day comes. The ticket includes a sausage sizzle and unlimited drink. I am sure many kids will attend as this is only happen once in every year. The theme is a Hawaiian disco. I still have to look for David's outfit sometime this week.

Nepean River
After we visited Warragamba Dam we headed off to Nepean River . Due to the overspilling of the Warragamba Dam, Nepean river swells.
The boat ramp was under water.

Warragamba Dam
Many people braved the pouring rain yesterday and headed off to Warragamba Dam to see for the first time in 14 yrs its overspilling after days of continuing heavy rain. It hit its full capacity and the drum gates were opened since Friday. It became a spectator event here.
It was hard to find a parking spot when we arrived at Warragamba so we decided to park the car in town centre and walked from there. Photo below was taken on our way to the viewing platform across the dam to get the best view available as public access to the dam wall remains restricted.
The viewing platform was full of people.
And the photos below were the only two good pictures of the spillway that I have taken for the rest of the photos were blurry.

Due to wet weather
Unfortunately, both Dorothy's tennis lesson this week were all cancelled due to wet weather. The head of the tennis coach sent me messages of the cancellation. Dorothy was a bit disappointed for she is always looking forward to these lessons every week. However, there will be make up lessons available sometime this month. All we have to do is to register only in the web site .

Camera Critters
This is another garden spider at the backyard who lives in one of my plants. Every night this spider builds an large web in my plants.

In Action
When Dorothy told me that her friend posted a photo of her in Facebook that was taken when they went swimming in a friend's swimming pool. I asked her then what was the photo about and she told me that it's an action shot, a great capture by her friend and this is what I saw. It is indeed a great capture by her friend's mobile phone camera.
After I have seen the photo, I told Dorothy not to do it again. Although the pool is quite deep but accidents happen any time and anywhere. I always tell her not to do silly things and such in the pool and she promised not any more.

Cancelled
Dorothy's tennis competition last night was cancelled due to wet weather. It has been raining cats and dogs here since the other day. There is a severe weather warning for flash flooding in some areas of NSW. This wet weather is expected to last at least until the weekend according to the weather forecast.
Since Dorothy didn't have comp last night, I took the kids to the mall and two of Dorothy's friends to have dinner. Thursday is a late night shopping here so the shops are still open until 9:00pm. I did some shopping too while we were there.
