Feeding the Dino

This is my second post about our visit to Australian Museum. Some of the attractions there are the popular Dinosaur Exhibition and a Dinosaur show. I just paid a bit of extra with the entrance fee so the kids can watch the Dinosaur show for the first time in the afternoon. The Dino in the show is called Winnie, a Muttaburrasaurus Puppet, big enough to resemble a 3 yrs old Dino in the olden days. Winnie and her keeper entertained in the show about the life of the Dinosaur. The kids were so fascinated with Winnie and curious to learn more about Dinosaur.Dorothy was so lucky to be chosen to pretend feeding the Dino along with the other kids. I saw many kids who were so eager to try that experience as there were many children hands in the air wishing to be picked up by the keeper. Dorothy was so excited and enjoyed it so much and even engaged herself in the audience participation in the question and answer portion too. David on the other hand was quiet but enjoying the show as well. I was really glad he didn't appear to be scared of the Dino's appearance and the sound effects. I saw few kids got terrified and cried the moment the Dino appeared in the scene. And sorry for the poor quality of my pics. I hope I can get better quality next time. Can you see the man's legs?

Ruby Tuesday - Mr "Ladybug"

Here is David dress up as his favourite insect, a Ladybug. The pictures were taken during our visit to Australian Museum last January 2010. I always like to take the kids to Australian Museum whenever I can grab a chance on school holidays. They have lots of things to see and do there. We always take the train going to the city and that's where the excitement starts. One of the things that fascinated my little boy during our visit was the dress up characters of his favourite animal and insect. The costumes are provided free by the museum itself and come in wide selection. We all had a great time there and the kids can't wait for the next visit. This time he is a tiger.... GRRRRR.... GRRRRR!!!If you would like to join or want to see more red please click here.

My Clivia

I have a few collection of clivia. They are an amazing sight in my garden when they are in full bloom. I like these plants because they are easily grown and suitable to warmer conditions. They can be enjoyed as indoor plants in cooler climate.
I gathered from Gardening Australia site that the genus was named for Lady Charlotte Clive, Duchess of Northumberland, who was the granddaughter of Robert Clive of India (general and colonial administrator).

Incy Wincy Spider

Last Wednesday morning when I opened the door of our back room, I was greeted by this big hairy Spider. He was on one of my mini roses sitting comfortably without making any movement upon my appearance. I hurriedly went back inside to grab my camera with the hope that he is still there on the mini rose. And yes, wish granted by him, he was still right in the same place when I left as if he was waiting to pose for me.
I made a quick research about this type of Spider and I found out that this is a Huntsman Spider. To see more Critters from all around the world please click, here.

Glad it was fixed

I woke up yesterday annoyed with our telephone. I thought to ring my sister here first thing in the morning and tell her some updates as I chatted with our eldest sister in Cebu the night before, who was just arrived from her trip to our island. I was up late chatting with her. I was just excited to ring her but the moment I tried to ring her, our telephone was dead flat, no ring tone. I waited for few minutes and it's still the same. I checked out all the wiring including the 3 handsets connecting to it if they were properly in place but everything were all right. I can't figured out what was wrong with it. I told hubby about it and waited for few minutes again. Then, we started receiving calls in our mobile phones from people who tried to contact us that they can't get through our land-line. We rang the telephone company and told them the problem. They assured us that somebody will be in our place as soon as possible to check it out. After about 20 minutes later, a man came by from the telephone company and checked out the problem. He found out that the wiring of the plug at the main line was defective and fixed it in no time. Glad for their immediate reply of the matter.

Today's flowers

These are the last batch of my lilium blooms and my favorites among my collection. I don't see any buds coming anymore. Unfortunately this season, their flowers are not that bigger and many, unlike the past years but we still enjoy them.
